If you notice brown spots on your carpet after we've cleaned it, please contact us within 72 hours of the cleaning. We will be happy to return to your home and treat the spots at no extra cost. Brown spots can occur due to two main reasons:
1. Wicking: This happens when old spots and stains resurface. It occurs because spills may have penetrated the carpet backing and remained hidden underneath the surface. During the cleaning process, these spots may reappear. You may notice these stains after the carpet has dried.
2. Browning: Browning is when the tips of the carpet turn dark, resulting in large, brown, blotchy spots. This issue is caused by high alkalinity in the carpet, often due to spills. However, it can be easily resolved with a treatment that reduces the alkalinity in the carpet.
